Second Summer Cycle

CALLING ALL RIDERS!
Join Team Latham for the Second Summer Cycle (formerly the Last Gasp) on Sunday, September 17th, 2023. This year’s charity ride is in-person and has options to accommodate every type of cyclist from the recreational rider to pro! Registration is FREE for Latham staff members. The minimum fundraising commitment is $500 (we can help you reach your goal) and 100% of the funds raised will go to the kitchen renovation project at Latham School. All riders will receive an official cycling jersey and will enjoy a post-ride celebration at Motta Field in Provincetown with food trucks (you will receive $30 in tickets for the food trucks as part of your registration fee) and Barnstable Brewing will be there with cold beverages with Second Summer Cycle Cans as memorabilia.

If you know of friends and/or family members who would like to ride for Latham here is the link to register

Be sure to tell them to choose Latham Centers as their beneficiary charity.

Details:
The Second Summer Cycle is an exciting new event led by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce – a fully supported, Cape-wide, charity ride benefiting 19 nonprofit organizations on Cape Cod. Choose between 30, 60+, or 100 mile routes along beautiful back roads (and the rail trail if you choose). The route will be monitored by event staff and local police departments. Rider support will be provided by an on-call SAG van. First aid and other health and safety care will be provided by a team of nurses and first responders along the route. Water stops are available every 10-15 miles.

100% of the funds raised by riders go directly to their specified beneficiary.

When:
Sunday, September 17, 2023
Where:
The Century starts in Mashpee, The Metric Century (60+) in Sandwich, and the 30 Mile+ in Orleans. Safety is a top priority, expect support vehicles and police presence, along with signage and volunteers along the route. All the rides end on the Outer Cape with a celebratory event for riders and volunteers.

There is also going to be a fast group of up to 50 riders who can average 20 miles per hour that will do the Century. They will start 10 minutes before the main group of riders for the Century.

We expect more than 1500 riders to participate this year. We hope to include you among them.
