Annually, before many of the students start leaving for the holiday, teachers, staff, parents, and ALL the students come together for a Holiday Show. This year Meghan Fedor, Performing Arts Instructor, hosted her first Holiday Recital. It was incredibly successful and everyone was singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” at the end.
While the Race Point Classroom sang “Shalom,” the Marconi Classroom sang “Reindeer Song,” and the Bass River Classroom sang “Winter Fantasy.” Next, Rock Harbor took the stage and gave an outstanding Bell-Ringer performance of “Go Tell it on the Mountain.”
Next the Long Pond Classroom, Nauset Classroom, and Brewster Falls Classroom sang “Christmas is Coming,” “Just One Candle,” and “Mele Kalikimaka.” Each of these performances was paired with musical instruments, Megan playing the Piano, and props! What a spectacular show. For the finale, the chorus sang “Feliz Navidad,” “The Penguin Polka,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Just when the students thought it couldn’t get any better, Santa and his elves could be heard down the hallway. Instantly they appeared with individual gifts for EACH of the students.
Gifts were purchased through community donations. The Discovery Club, a group of women who learned about Latham Centers during a tour, paved the way for a particularly fun and festive holiday this season! Thank you to the women of the Discovery Club, and everyone else who made this possible.
