Latham thanks visitors to our exhibit at last weekend’s Paw Palooza festival

July 18, 2017

Staff members from Human Resources and Vocational Services shared information about Latham Centers’ vocational Pet Care program and agency-wide career opportunities with dozens of visitors to its booth at Paw Palooza last weekend. Betty, Tara, and Maura are thankful to everyone who stopped by to visit (including the four-legged friends!)

Because of the positive feedback about the possibility of Latham-hosted CPR for dogs courses, Vocational Director Maura Smith said to stay tuned for more information.

Local pet owners: if you missed Paw Palooza but would like more information on dog walking services by Latham residents, please visit LathamLifelongPetcare.org or click HERE to view the brochure.

Dog walks are conducted by a Latham Centers resident accompanied by a staff person, and last from 15 to 60 minutes. Your dog can get regular exercise and TLC while providing vocational opportunities for students and adults with complex special needs who benefit from animal therapy. Latham Centers’ dog walking and pet care services are offered from Orleans to Wareham.

Thank you, Agway of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation, for an exceptional Paw Palooza event supporting sick and homeless pets on Cape Cod.
