On March 8th, 2017 Latham Centers said good-bye to a bright, beautiful, charming, and happy Pam K. Pam was a long time, beloved resident of Latham Centers and she will be missed dearly by staff and residents alike. Her services were held on April 1, because, as said by her family, “April Fool’s Day [was] one of her favorites.” This exemplifies her humor and love of life. Pam was 51 years old.
For the past 20 years, Pam K. has brightened the lives of everyone at Latham Centers. Pam shared her joy with others through her many hobbies, including crocheting afghans, solving jigsaw puzzles, reading puzzle books, and participating in many varied arts and crafts projects. She was a lover of music, singing, and dancing.
Pam was an avid New England Sports fan, and she was especially enthusiastic about the Pawtucket Red Sox (Paw Sox). Pam was also an athlete herself. For many years she participated in the Special Olympics – in 2004 she even ran the 100-meter race!
She passed away at Cape Cod Hospital following a brief illness. She is survived by her parents, nieces, and nephews, godparents, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her cat Duke. Her parents have asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Latham Centers in Pam’s memory (14 Lots Hollow Road, Orleans MA, 02653).
She will be missed.
