Latham Centers hosts a Booth at Paw Palooza: July 16 and 17

July 14, 2016

Finn and Students

Latham Centers is teaming up with Agway of Cape Cod this weekend to present its newly constructed Pet Program. Latham students, staff, and adults will host a booth informing the community of Latham’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting.
Ultimately, the Pet Care Program is a “win-win-win” for pets on Cape Cod, Latham Residents and pet owners. We allow hardworking professionals and those with less mobility a comprehensive pet care service with reduced rates (as compared to most Pet Walking and Sitting services.) Moreover, the Pet Care Program enables our residents the opportunity for paid employment and vocational training. Many individuals at Latham identify with Animal Care, and we are proud to bring a variety of job placements to our residents in a world where approximately 80% of individuals with developmental disabilities are unemployed.
