Animals on the Loose! A Latham Centers Student Focused Art Show
September 16, 2015
Latham Centers students’ paper mache animals on display at Rockland Trust, Orleans
Throughout the summer students who reside at the Latham Centers school campus have been working hard to create Paper Mache animals. You are cordially invited to an art show featuring these magnificent creations at Rockland Trust, Orleans.
Using cardboard, wire, tin foil, crumpled newspaper, and masking tape the students made their very own molds. Then, the students covered the forms with rigid wrap. Finally, they painted the figures. Some animals were modeled after family pets, while others were entirely made up. Some are painted like a classic Terrier Pup, while others are painted a rainbow of bright colors.
When viewing the show you can see that the students truly tapped into their creativity and excelled at this project. All the students are extremely proud of their work and welcome you to view the creations at Rockland Trust Bank in Orleans until October 6th.
