Children’s Services
(Unless otherwise noted, positions are on the Brewster Campus)
Director of Children’s Services
Manage the day-to-day clinical, residential and educational operations of the Children’s Programs. Masters degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred. Proven management skills in residential and clinical treatment required.
Residential Supervisor
Manage residential treatment program on campus, supervise residential staff in order to promote a positive, healthy and safe living environment for students and staff. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field or five years human service experience and 2 years of supervisory experience in a residential treatment or related human service setting required. Must have current MA driver’s license and be able to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion.
Wed 9am-4pm, Fri 12pm-9pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 8am-8pm. 40 hours.
Day Supervisor
Oversee the day-to-day management of the day school program. Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Human Services, Psychology, or Social Work and one year SPED classroom experience preferred, or equivalent experience. Requirements include: strong behavior management skills, current MA driver’s license and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Mon – Fri 7:30am-3:30pm. 40 hours.
Special Education Teacher (Two openings)
Design and implement an individual educational / vocational program for each student. Modify the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks to accommodate student’s individual academic abilities. Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related field and Massachusetts Certificate in Special Education required. Related teaching experience preferred. MA driver’s license and be able to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Mon – Fri, 7am – 3pm. 40 hours. $19.50 per hour, with SPED certification.
One: One Counselor
Plan and provide services to one individual including: developing and delivering instruction, supports and positive role modeling in the areas of life skills, community utilization, health care, social and recreational activities. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, education or related field; or equivalent experience preferred. Must be female, have current MA driver’s license and be able to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion.
Sun 7am-9pm, Mon 2:30pm-9pm, Tues 2:30pm-9pm, Wed 2:30pm-9pm. 33.5 hours. $11.20 per hour.
Thurs 2:30pm-9pm, Fri 2:30pm-9pm, Sat 7am-9pm. 27 hours. $11.20 per hour.
Residential Counselors
Develop and conduct activities with individuals or small groups and provide positive role modeling in areas of life skills, health care, social and recreational activities. Bachelor's Degree in psychology, education, recreation, or related field, one year experience preferred. Requirements include current MA driver’s license and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Candidate must be female if the shift includes overnight hours.

Medical Assistant
Assist the Children’s Program Nursing Dept in providing medical care to individual students. Medical office and or CNA experience required. Computer literacy required. Requirements include current MA driver’s license and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Mon – Fri – flexible schedule. 20 hours. $12.00 per hour.
Cook (New 7/15/08)
Assist the Lead Cook in planning and preparing wholesome, nutritious meals. One year nutrition or cooking background required. Requirements include current MA driver’s license and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Mon 7a-12p, Tues 7a-12p. 10 hours. $12.00 per hour.
Adult Program
Vocational Counselor
Plan and provide direct services for individuals living in a community residence such as vocational training, seeking vocational opportunities and enhancing supports for work. Also includes support and positive role modeling in the areas of life skills, community utilization, health care, and social and recreational activities. Bachelor’s degree and one year human services experience, or 5 years related experience is preferred. Requirements include current MA driver’s license and the ability to handle individuals in crisis safely, with compassion.

Vocational Counselor W. Yarmouth (40 Headwaters): Thurs 8:15am – 8:15pm; Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm, Sat 10am – 5pm, Wed 9am – 11am. 30 hours. $12.20 per hour.

Year ‘Round Agency Substitutes
Enjoy a flexible schedule working as a part-time, temporary life-skills counselor at Latham Centers. Work on an as-needed basis, in day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Paid training includes CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention. Mid-Cape work locations include: Brewster, Harwich, S. Yarmouth, Hyannis, and Yarmouthport. $11.70 per hour.
